About Neuromuscular Dentures

By utilizing the principles and techniques of Neuromuscular Dentistry Dr. Adams creates dentures that fuse form, function and aesthetics.

d202
Neuromuscular dentures do more than simply replace the teeth, they are designed to fit precisely into the position that optimizes the relationship between the jaw, the muscles of the face and neck and the teeth.
By creating this neuromuscular occlusion or “bite” your dentures are made to the optimal position for chewing and for speech. Neuromuscular dentures, with their emphasis on form and function, are more comfortable and more natural appearing than ordinary dentures. Using the Myomonitor and K7 instrumentation, just as if the real teeth were in place, the ideal neuromuscular position is established. This allows Dr. Adams to fabricate an accurate fitting denture from a special set of impressions taken while the patient is TENSing. This creates a very natural looking, muscle functioning denture. As an added benefit neuromuscular dentures also support the facial muscles thereby enhancing your appearance.
